I am wondering if a distinction should be made between games where one plays a villain engaged in villany, and one where one plays a villain agreeing to cooperate and be a "good guy."

E.G. In Double Dragon 3, as well as a lot of RPGs, you face people who are initially enemies who then become allies.

Legend of Kyrandia book 3 was a graphic adventure game where you controlled the villain of book 1. You weren't as evil as you were first perceived but you get to do some mischief. However, it wasn't a good game, playable but that's about it.
