Hidden oXbox Gems We Totally Missed

Post by h8b1llg8ts »

I'm to the point where I keep thinking I'm done with my oXbox collection. I've gone through all the sites, review boards, and youtube posts I can handle. Then all of a sudden some one mentions a game like Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy or Spikeout: Battle Street. Where, what, darn it ... Seriously!!!

Here is what I have so far:

As you can see I'm not a huge sport, stealth, or RPG fan but am open if the need fits. Any games that really NO ONE else plays that needs to be played?

I gotta throw Oddworld: Stranger's wrath out there. I know a few people that didn't like it, but is one of my favorites. That and Start Wars: Republic Commando.

There are a TON of Xbox hidden gems out there. Off of the top of my head I'd say you should try Galleon: Islands of Mystery, Quantum Redshift, Otogi: Myth of Demons, Otogi 2:Immortal Warriors, and possibly Scrapland (even if only for the visuals).

one mech game that i like called Gungriffon Allied Strike is fun (although its arguable). its part of the gungriffon series that started on the sega saturn and focused on arcade mech action. the game is also very short.

That's what I'm talking about. I have never heard of that game and it looks right up my alley. Researched game, check some links, and found it for $5.28 including shipping. For the price of a lunch I have a life time game.

Keep it going man ...

The Otogi Games are great, There's a really cool Japanese game about the President of the USA getting into a Mech suit and blowing shit up but I forget the name... something about 'wolf' Really OTT cut scenes, reminded me of Crazy Ivan on the PS1

Stubbs the Zombie was alright to, nice game world...

Looking closer you have a pretty darn comprehensive list. Unfortunately, you basically have all the games I own that I'd recommend. I'm assuming that any pretty well-known games you don't have you don't want (i.e. Fatal Frame, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Sega Soccer Slam, and Crimson Sea). I haven't played them myself, but have been wanting to pick up Outrun 2 or Outrun 2006 (haven't researched if one is superior to the other) and possibly Battle Engine Aquila. The latter I'm really suspicious of, but I've got a friend who swears by the game so I might have to give it a go.
