Megadeth any one

Post by pepharytheworm »

With Megadeth's new album released today 9-15 just curious about how many megadeth fans we have here. I saw a lot of Iron maiden fans in a topic lets see if Megadeth can beat that. Who is getting the new album Endgame? I know I am. Whats your favorite Megadeth albums? And who has seen them live? I only wish I got to see Marty Friedman live with them.

1. Rust in Peace
2. Peace sells
3. Countdown to Extiction ( that one had to grow on me)

I am listening to the duke nukem sound track while typing this. Megadeth did a great theme song for that game.

Real weird, I had no idea about the album being released and I don't know much about Megadeth at all, but I was just listening to a clip of their music. I have never really been into metal. I am more into regular rock 'n' roll and more eclectic stuff. Recently, I began listening to Dethklok for fun since I am a fan of the show and somehow discovered and got into Motorhead. For some reason that led to Megadeth today so I guess I will look at the albums you listed and download some. Slayer sounded good also, but many of the metal bands still seem to be either too overbearing for me or are from the 80s and a bit to glammy. Those couple stood out as pretty decent though.

Megadeath is good. I personally liked countdown to extinction the best. I've been a fan of to-the-death-metal ever since I saw the first Ace Ventura: Pet Detective movie, where cannibal corpse was rocking out. Previous to that, it was pretty much all oldies and alternative stuff you hear on the radio all the time.

I thought we would have more fans then this. well since there is only 3 here.

Who thinks the theme song for Duke Nukem Rocks. Might Not be a fan but at least 50% of the people here have heard that song. Or their Gears of War song for Gears of War .

You did only create the thread today. Give it chance.

I'll be getting the new album but not until I download it and listen to it first for free.

My favourite albums are probably:

Peace Sells
Risk
Youthanasia

I was comparing it to the Ryantheslayer Iron maiden thread. a hit every 30mins the first day for that one. By the way I got it and its great. It sounds like a mixture of their earlier stuff with a modern twist.

I totally forgot about Risk for some reason. That one goes on my top 3 in place of Peace Sells.

I don't know if I count as a Megadeth fan or not. I really like a few of their albums, but I kind of think they're pretty uneven. Mustaine's lyrics are usually pretty ridiculous, which is par for the course in thrash metal, but they do rock pretty hard. I've been pretty disappointed that I've missed both Gigantours so far.

Also, I guess I can't be much of a fan since I didn't know the new album was coming out today. I'll probably add it to my Christmas list, since I always have a hard time coming up with things I want. Though it will probably be more expensive by then, so maybe I'll get it tomorrow... Now I need to check when the next Dream Theater album comes out.

Anyway, my three favorite Megadeth Albums would probably be:

1. Rust in Peace
2. United Abominations
3. Youthanasia

It seems to be illegal to discuss Megadeth without mentioning Metallica, so I'll just say that, at least during this decade, I greatly prefer Megadeth's output.

Not in any order:

Rust In Piece
Peace Sells
Killing Is My Business

I like most Megedeth album's, but these are the three I listen to the most. I like Killing Is My Business because it was one of the first metal cd's I ever had. Greatest buy when I was a kid.
I'm back!
