I've been looking to buy a new copy of that game for half a decade. The ONLY copy I've gotten my hands on in that time, the seller was asking for $200. You, sir, are a lucky bastard.

I got a copy of The Haunting Ground on PS2 for $5. I was excited to find this. I've been looking for this little known survival horror game for some time now, but had never seen it for sale out in the wild until now, and the price was sweet. :)

Over the past two weekends I've been going to various flea markets in the area just to see if I could find any deals. Here's the treasures that I unearthed while on my journeys.

N64 with two controllers (joysticks in PERFECT condition!), Mario 64, and Cruisn' USA - $10
Two N64 controllers - $2
Second Generation Sega Genesis with 2 controllers and NBA Jam - $15
Second generation Sega Genesis with Micky Mania and no A/C adapter or R/F cord - $2
Second generation Sega Genesis with no A/C adapter - $3
NES with one controller and Bionic Commando - $25
NES with one controller, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ninja Gaiden, and Mario/Duckhunt/World Class Track Meet - $15
Two NES Advantage joysticks - $5
Sega Genesis game storage case (never seen this before... really nice, I'll try to post some pics)- $5
Gamecube with controller and Spongebob game - $10
Second generation SNES with two controllers - $20
Sonic 2 Genesis cartridge - $1.50
Gunstar Heroes Genesis cartridge - $5
Hit the Ice Genesis cartridge - $5

I also picked up NBA Jam TE for Genesis for $1, and Super Metroid for SNES for something like $11 from a website.

I feel like I made out like a bandit... Thoughts?

The first step is admitting you have a problem. I have ended up with 8 Genesis...s, but after the first 2 I was at least always buying it for the SCD or Power Base Converter or something.

You most not have gotten the big ugly thing that I got with one of mine. Bit cavernous thing with a smoky clear lift off lid? All mine is missing a fake wood sticker to make the 70s trifecta complete. :P

I just couldnt pass up the $2 and $3 dollar systems after I had already purchased the $15 one! Also, my friend and I decided that the plural form is "Genesi".

I think I know the one you are talking about. Mine actually looks like it was made by the same company but it is just a game drawer, no lid on the top of it. Looks similar to this( http://cgi.ebay.com/Sega-Genesis-Storag ... .m20.l1116), without the weird cavernous thing that you mentioned.

BTW, I actually sent that guy an offer... I'm not willing to pay $60, and it IS ugly, but I wouldn't mind having it. :)

The one in that auction is the one that I have. I could have sworn it had a smoky brown lid, and thus more 70s looking. I guess I'm confusing it with actual 70s ones like Reverend has, or perhaps the lid on my vintage turntable. The lid on my Sega cabinet is fairly scuffed up and the ALS badge is missing from the center of the lid, but mine has no cracks or chips.

If you don't get that one and still want to add it to your collection shoot me an offer. :)

Yesterday's find.
Image

N64 - Ice blue with expansion and matching controller
N64 controller - grape
Super Mario 64
Donkey Kong 64
Starfox 64
Mario Party 2
Paper Mario
N64 Game Shark
N64 Performance memory card

And the real reason I picked it up, a Mr. Backup Z64

Total damage, $40.

Apparently you can swap in a hard drive for the zip drive since its IDE.
