New Dreamcast game, Rush Rush Racing
Re: New Dreamcast game, Rush Rush Racing
Look`s to be pretty poor in quality. However nice to see the indy dc scene has not dried up.
Re: New Dreamcast game, Rush Rush Racing
I am happy that some people want to keep the Dreamcast living on, but why would I want to purchase games that can work on my pc. They are so simple like flash games, there is like no reason to release them on a Dreamcast.
If some one wants to make a certain console game, it would make me happy but they got to take advantage of that system capabilities to interest me.
How many active dreamcast owners are out there any way?

It'd be cool if the DC became a indie developers console of choice. A man can dream can't he?

Pretty much, though many indie developers have switched to XBLA, PSN, Wiiware or the PS2BigTinz wrote:Isn't it already?corn619 wrote:It'd be cool if the DC became a indie developers console of choice. A man can dream can't he?

Why do these newly released games all say you need a dreamcast from before october 2000? What changed?

Revision 2 Dreamcasts (made after 2000/01) removed support for CD-r's or any other CD based game burned or professionally pressed, therefore the games won't work as only Sega knows how to print GD-Roms.Jrecee wrote:Why do these newly released games all say you need a dreamcast from before october 2000? Yup, which is why I keep my nice little black Sega Sports one at my desk for some good ol' unlicensed game action.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Revision 2 Dreamcasts (made after 2000/01) removed support for CD-r's or any other CD based game burned or professionally pressed, therefore the games won't work as only Sega knows how to print GD-Roms.Jrecee wrote:Why do these newly released games all say you need a dreamcast from before october 2000? Older. Not wiser.

I don't see how it can be claimed that the game is poor quality with so little info. There are very few clues in that link as to how much content or replayability there is. While the game may be simple, it definitely does not look like a Flash game. You're giving Flash far, far too much credit. I can't really see the game being done, as is, on a system prior to Dreamcast without some graphical compromises, such that it is (particularly with one-player - seems like split-screen downplays the graphics a bit for speed). If you're talking about other system capabilities, I can't help you. It looks fun and it's four players. What else do you need?kingmohd84 wrote:I am happy that some people want to keep the Dreamcast living on, but why would I want to purchase games that can work on my pc. Well, online would be nice.
Oh, and this will be my fourth pre-ordered Dreamcast purchase in the last twelve months. Who woulda thunk it?
