i don't mean to attack moz personally, i don't know him. i also don't even want to attack his internet persona, as it were. i just think that making threads like this is pretty lame, especially considering the amount of good, quality posts moz has made on this forum over the last few years i've been posting. and to be honest, i agree with a lot of his opinions stated in the initial post, i think the quality of posting has gone down here and there is a lot of "fluff" or whatever, but just throwing your hands up and saying "this is dumb, i don't want to be a part of this anymore because it's not meeting my expectations" is something that should be reserved for an individual experience, not a community experience.

let's say you're playing a game and it's just awful. really awful. but it's just you playing. you certainly have the freedom to say "fuck this, i'm going and doing something else" and no one can fault you for it. when you ascribe to a community, like this one, then it becomes problematic when you feel that you have that same right. (this is not a personal attack) if things are going poorly within the community then it's up to you to try and make things better, especially if you are an elder within the community, a veteran, an "elite member." a "mod."

i just think it's silly to create a thread like this and is very disappointing coming from someone as valuable to this community as mozgus. where was lordofduct's "L8R d00dZ!" thread? did everyone make posts like this at segaxtreme? "see you later nerds, this forum is too technical now, there's nothing here that interests me."

i honestly wish you'd stay, mozgus. it'll be boring without you, just like it has been recently.

And look how well it worked. How often do you see a thread hit 8 pages in 16 hours around here? I also love how I've seen dozens of users say so many nice things, one after the other, while we've had you 5 or so grouchy punks repeatedly try to insult me and trash the party, in the process, only making fools of yourselves and adding much more merit to my opening words. Bravo. Please don't stop.
Yes it did work. If this is the attention you need to feel good about yourself. By all means..

We have only "spoken" a few times. Each one of those times you where a complete and utter douche bag. I can only imagine that this has happened to countless others. If not liking you + thinking this thread is a cry for attention + your an ass + happy your leaving = making me a "punk" (lol)... then im proud to be a punk :D

Can we at least leave this neutral?

Moz, say the word and I'll lock it.
When did I ever want a thread locked? Let the monkeys sling their poop.

You know I was thinking, "dangerous I know" and I don't know why someone would commit to NEVER posting on here again. Who knows 1 to 2 years down the line and this website starts to kick some major ass again, maybe you'll have a change of heart and want to post something once and a while. I can understand that you need a break from here I plan do that as well, but I won't say I'll never comeback again. Sometimes things change and you never know when you'll eat your words and change your mind. Anyways, best of luck to you.

I've never had to taste my own words before. I doubt I ever will. The internet is a big place. It would take a very long time to quit enough sites to trap myself in a corner, so to speak.

See chances are 1 or 2 years down the line there will still be annoying posts/users because racketboy has gotten popular from being written up all over the place. Its just a fact that with popularity your probably going to attract some shitty people, so you can either bash the whole forum and claim its gone to complete shit and not worth your time, or you can focus on the good people here and try your best to contribute and make it a little better.

Racket, please lock this thread it's seriously going no where, and just feeding this guys internet ego.

Don't like people around here? Deal with it.

Okiedokie.
This thread has been around for a while and if you missed you chance to say a public goodbye to Moz, there are still other ways to contact him.
I'm just going to close this...
