What is your profession/age and you other hobbies/interests?

I'm 42 and went to school for EE/CE (electrical engineering & computer engineering) but have always done software development (c/c++/smalltalk/java/perl). Hobbies include: mountain biking (probably more road biking these days), skiing, home improvements (electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting), fine cooking, video games, and console modding. I also enjoy reading and watching Red Sox/NE Patriots.

I would like to spend some time doing PSP development. Mainly to rebuild MasterBoy so I don't have to deal with the Neoflash & Old School Library banners.

I grew up with Atari 2600, Atari 800, and Intellivision. In college, I had one of the first Macs and remembered playing Dark Castle on it. After college, my brother gave me a Sega Genesis for Christmas and I played that for a few years. But then for ~20 years, I was out of the game scene except for the period of time when I played some PC Games such as Duke Nukem, Castle Wolfenstein, Quake, etc.

I got back into playing some games because of my daughters (6 & 9) who are both into Pokemon. Recently, the younger one showed interest in Zelda and is playing Phantom Hourglass on her DS. We (mostly my wife) limit their time on the DS and the Gamecube. I do enjoy playing games on the cube with them such as Mario Kart, Mario Party 6/7.

OK, in the spirit of the OP, I guess I will provide a more serious response.

I am 27 years old, male, married. I do not know if I count as having a profession or not, since I am in graduate school. I have a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering. My undergraduate focus was on Computer Engineering (Embedded Systems), and my MS and PhD focus is in Digital Signal Processing.

Other than older video games, I enjoy running and weightlifting quite a bit, though I'm a small guy. I also like to watch movies and play guitar. I probably spend more time exercising than any other hobby, though. Most of my time is spent wasting time trying to make myself do research in biometrics and active contours.

So I have been a long time lurker and just decided to register today..... As far as my other interests, I wouldn't call myself an audiophile, however I really enjoy good sound quality.... Grado sr-60's..... So what about you guys??

First off, welcome! I'm a 26 y.o. married guy that is an electronic/service/field service tech who also love me some audio too! My home rig consists of a Creative X-Mod and a self-modified/built CMOY amp playing to my Grado sr-60's. I love to play bass too, but all my stuff has been packed up for 3 years as apartment life sucks. I mainly dabble in car audio and usually spend my lunchtimes at work swapping gear or tuning.

I'm 20, a full time student. I'm about to transfer to MST, for a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. My dad owns a sports card and memorabilia store, I work there on weekends. Obviously I like older games (mostly Sega stuff-genesis and dreamcast are my favorites), I collect coins (U.S. issued) and play a CCG called Redemption.
