The Dreamroom - A Live Streaming Dreamcast Par-tay

Post by Barry the Nomad »

Lifted from my blog because I'm either a lazy ass or economical:

What: The Dreamroom is a small party at my apartment celebrating the 10th anniversary of the SEGA Dreamcast. Two consoles will be running, drawing from a library of 70+ games, and a variety of peripherals will be used. Expect to see old classics as well as rarely streamed/YouTubed games including Segagaga, Cool Cool Toon, What's Shenmue? and that strange Yukawa digging game.

When: United States (EST): Wednesday, September 9th, 2009. 6pm - 11pm
England (GMT): Wednesday, September 9th, 2009. 12am - 5am
Also, I'll probably start the feed a few hours early.

Where: At my apartment, invite only.
HOWEVER, the world can watch the event live on Justin.tv/Dreamroom

Midnight to 5am? Darn, I won't be able to watch much then, and if Ihaveadreamcast's broadcast is even later, that'll be the next morning here, haha. E-mail me or something if you do start early though, I'll try and catch a chunk of it. :)

The Dreamroom will begin broadcasting early at 1pm EST (East Coast, USA), 7pm GMT (London, England).

While the party itself will still kick off at the previously mentioned times, I'll switch on the webcam and will be playing some games solo. This change in start time makes the Dreamroom an official 10 hour marathon! Fitting, isn't it? I'll also be playing Dreamcast related videos including Shenmue The Movie as I prep for the party. Be on the lookout for a black cat walking in front of the TV, her name is Olive.

i watched some shenmue, but had to get some sleep after being up all night finishing up a book. Cool to see though. Weird as it is, i always wanted to watch someone play that game, and not actually play it myself. It just doesn't make any sense to me and so i'm pretty bad at it.
