Best Crime Solving/Detective Games
Re: Best Crime Solving/Detective Games
Would the "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" or "Police Quest" games count?

Hey guys, I figured you might be interested in this. I write for an online magazine, RetroAction. The third issue should be releasing this upcoming Monday. In this issue, one of the guys managed to score an interview with Louis Castle, executive produce of Blade Runner, as well as an article on the game. Here's the magazine's website:

Cool! I didn't know you wrote for RetroAction. I have both issues but haven't read them yet. Blade Runner is one great AG.Ack wrote:Hey guys, I figured you might be interested in this. Truthfully I only started on issue 2, and with only one article on Killer Instinct Gold. In Issue 3 I've written three pieces. I'm pretty busy so unfortunately I'm not able to do as much as I'd like, but they're great guys over there.

The old Tex Murphy games for PC - Under A Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, Overseer. Great first person adventure games where you're a down on your luck P.I. in a near future post-apocalyptic San Francisco. full of investigating, breaking in, interrogating, gathering clues/evidence, all sorts of fun detective stuff. But good luck finding copies, let alone a machine that runs 'em well.

Enjoyed reading your piece on AvP. It's a top game.Ack wrote:Truthfully I only started on issue 2, and with only one article on Killer Instinct Gold. In Issue 3 I've written three pieces. I'm pretty busy so unfortunately I'm not able to do as much as I'd like, but they're great guys over there.
Copies can be found on online auction sites. As for playing the games DosBox supports the UAKM/PD games whereas Overseer can run on XP (Not sure about Vista).ronaldlupe wrote:The old Tex Murphy games for PC - Under A Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, Overseer. I have a game called Nightshade. I couldn't tell you if it's actually good or not because I'm not really into these kinds of games.

So those screenshots were good enough?
In the future I will either get more people or just play multiple people myself so the pictures will be more dynamic.
