There are so many great games that have come out over the years and many of them still have active servers that people just play on anymore. What games do you wish people would still play online?
Example:
When Xbox Live first came out I remember Rainbow Six 3 and Black Arrow almost flunking me out of grad school. I would play for at least 18 hours a day. I seems that about 6-8 people play the original RS3 every so often but BA is a bust.
I also checked out Crimson Skies and that is a bigger hit or miss with maybe 2 or 3 people on every other day or so.
Doesn't make for much fun with so few people. Even makes me think of almost hosting a Online Retro Night. Where we meet at a certain time and day of the week and just enjoy some good 'ol online gaming.
Even PC and PS2 can participate.

Im game for a Retro pc gaming evening, Ive been trying to get one started for two or three years now. Weekly is rough, but once or twice a month may be doable. Sadly my ps2 is dead and I do not have a Live account, but if we get this going I might have to go find a mic.
We can play Steel Battalion right? right?
Some of my favorites that are dead online:
- Earth and Beyond - it was an MMO from 2002 and it was just awesome. Thankfully the fans are building their own masterserver and it should go live this year.
- Half Life Deathmatch/TFC/Opposing Force/most HL1 mods - obivously most people just moved to HL2, but I still like the pre gravity gun game more.
- Aliens vs Predator Gold - Still one of the best and most balanced pc games of all time.

If they opened up the reserves again I would play. Planetside was the only MMO other than UO that I paid to play for past beta stages. It was my experience with Planetside that got me in good with the Global Agenda folks, but sadly my GPU blew and I got saddled on that alpha, I should probably go for the beta now that I have a new GPU...

Hey I've been looking for someone to play Crimson Skies with, I never played multiplayer. I tried to go on once and there was one guy online besides me and he was idle. Would be fun to set up a game with a fair amount of people.h8b1llg8ts wrote:There are so many great games that have come out over the years and many of them still have active servers that people just play on anymore. I wish people played Kane and Lynch multiplayer for PC, it seemed fun, but I couldn't find any games.
There are a decent amount of people playing RS3 on PC.

Pretty much all the Dreamcast online games.
Older. Not wiser.

Steel Battalion Line Of Contact still has a small very online community last I heard, but I know some online features aren't available anymore.
