I was play Crash Twisted with my daughter last night on our brand new Special Edition Halo oXbox. When I ejected the disc after a good 1 hour gameplay the disc was not there. I opened and closed twice and it would not come out. But the disc still plays in the system when the door closes. Plus, there is no funny noise like I would expect if the disc was stuck.
I never had this problem with my tride and true "Day One" oXbox. I even played this game in that system with no problems.
Any suggestions on how to get the disc out without breaking her open? I really don't want to do that since she is new and I have no experiance at all.

Re: Help - My Little Green Machine ate Crash
My Xbox once did the same thing. Sorry, but the only way to get it out is to take it apart. You'll need some star shaped screwdrivers to get the shell off, and a phillips screwdriver for the insides. You'll have to take the shell off of the DVD drive too. The disk, I'm guessing, is stuck to the thing that spins the disk inside the drive. That's why it doesn't come out with the tray.
By the way, the Xbox that did that to me? It's broken now. Died of disk drive problems within a month. I'd be prepared to shell out another $40 bucks for a new one.

Or just mod it and play all your games from the HDD.

Re: Help - My Little Green Machine ate Crash
give it a sharp tap and the disc should drop

If it's still covered by warranty, don't do either of these and take it back to the shop where you bought it.

It's the SE Halo Edition ... they didn't have another. They would just exchange it for a generic one ...deathclaw wrote:If it's still covered by warranty, don't do either of these and take it back to the shop where you bought it.

Or maybe they would repair it, instead of exchanging it, wouldn't they? At least it's worth asking.h8b1llg8ts wrote:It's the SE Halo Edition ... they didn't have another. Microsoft doesn't do repairs on original xboxes anymore. Looks like you go the way of doing it yourself. If you do blow it up, just keep the case, buy a new xbox on ebay, and put the guts inside.
