Any Systems You Don't want to collect?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Even though I've always wanted to own a Neo Geo, I have no desire to collect games for it since the games are extremely hard to find and expensive.

Also, why spend the dough when you can play the games for free via emulation?
"Welcome to the circus of values!"

Currently Playing: Crysis (360), Destiny demo (PS3), Roadblasters (MAME)

Or, you know, legally buy most of the top games on the PS2. Except, of course, Wind Jammers. Why the hell has that not been re-released yet!?!

You are missing out on A TON of awesome games. I love the SMS and MD/Genesis, too... but wow man, you're totally missing out.

Quite a few actually.

1) Pre-Crash consoles. There's no game I would want to play at all, the best games are horrid arcade ports, there's Pitfall true, but a game doesn't make any console worth it.

2) Sega Saturn. Being frank, there are very few good games and most of them are so expensive they are not worth it. Also there's no way to get one around here, no matter the price. I have no game other than the ultra-good-and-ultra-expensive titles in my list and its kind of a letdown.

3) Jaguar, 3D0 and other bad consoles. Picking up a Jaguar for Tempest 2000 is not worth it when you can have it on the PSX or in PC, worse versions but meh. And there's no good games for the 3D0.

4) N64 I don't like 3D games, I hate the camera and the horrid 3D graphics don't help. Given than most N64 games are that way I don't think I will ever pick it up. Yes, it has Ogre Battle and Sin & Punishment but overall, there's no chance of getting those games in the wild so no reason to get the console.

5) Non-Nintendo Handhelds no monochrome systems. There aren't really a lot of good games for those. I would love to play OutRun on the PSP but I don't have so much money, it's not worth it.

6) Sega Master System I don't think there are really any games I would play in it. Most of the good games are arcade ports (Better on MAME) and Phantasy Star is very grindtastic.

7) Xbox Aside from Panzer Dragoon there's nothing I would want to play that it's not avalible on PC.

That's all I can think of now. And yes, you can hate me.

Where do you live that you can't get a saturn?

And there's always mischief makers for 2D on the n64. Between the cost of the game and an n64 you could have them both for $40. . .

IMO The Playstation and Nintendo 64 have aged very badly. Early 3d doesn't good anymore. But I think the xbox and gamecube ps2 era will age well.

I used to feel the same way but I think low poly graphics are starting to become a style themselves in the same way that old 8 bit sprites have.
