And that's a fact. I know because it's on Wikipedia.

I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

Re: Being socially accepted by your peers is overrated...
Being socially accepted for what? I mean, are you a complete social outcast?
Re: Being socially accepted by your peers is overrated...
Just general social acceptance in a school/work (Or any generally public) environment.jfrost wrote:Being socially accepted for what?

"People are shit, I'm shit, you're shit, he's shit, she's shit. When I go outside I wonder who left all this shit around; and if you are one of those people agreeing with me saying 'oh yes everyone is shit except for me' then you can consider yourself a double shit with fries on the side Mr.Shit face. Oh, that reflects badly on me, what I meant to say is Mr. OR Mrs.Shitface."

I prefer to be accepted over unaccepted, but I also prefer to be who I want to be instead of who someone else wants me to be. Sometimes the goal of being who I want to be will clash with the goal of being socially accepted. In those moments, I often think being socially accepted is overrated. However, there is usually plenty of social acceptance for being a unique individual in the long run, so its not usually a problem.
