The most pain you've ever been in
Re: The most pain you've ever been in
Although it does not compare to some of the earlier comments, the most pain I would have had was when I was a junior in high school. I would usually sharpen my pencil before class and this day when I went to sit down I had the pencil tip go into my palm and snap off. The nurse was digging around but failed (no pain reliever). Went home and my mother dug around (gave me a root beer for the pain, thank you very much), and I dug around. I had to go to the doctor to get it cut out. One more thing, when I finally got something for the pain, whatever the doctor injected I probably could have had my hand ran over by a car and I probably would not have felt it.

Chigger's are tiny little red insects that like to burrow under a person's skin.

I had a tumor in my wrist, which the doctor described as soft bone, almost jelly like. While waiting for surgery to come 2 weeks away, a computer UPS dropped 4 inches from a shelf right on it. I think cutting off my arm at that point would have been a better alternative to the numbing pain shooting through my body.

When I got the news that my best friend was found dead in his apartment weeks before my wedding.
All my broken bones and scars don't even begin to compare to that type of pain.

Thanks man. I almost started to cry when typing that post, it's still hard to believe.Ack wrote:Damn dude, I'm sorry.Luke wrote:When I got the news that my best friend was found dead in his apartment weeks before my wedding.

I feel so bad for his parents, I can't imagine. My friend Ryan lived in LA, and his parents still live in NC. They had two funerals/visitations, one in LA, one in NC. The thought of having to fly the body across the country still bothers me.
It gets worse. We're still not sure exactly when he died. The police had to break into his apartment where they found his body. His parents also had to wait months before he could be buried due to the toxicology reports. He was only 26. Only 26. Had a bright future ahead of him too. Graduated from FullSail in music production, then moved to LA. He became friends with Seth McFarlane, and even had Thanksgiving Dinner with Lil' John.
The stories he told were unbelievable, but all true.
Damn, I still really miss him. He was the closest thing I've ever had to a little brother.
The only thing that gives me some comfort is that we talked often, and if my dates are correct, I talked to him just a few days before he died. Like every conversation, I always told him I loved him at the end. I have very few friends I'll say that to. We would always say, "Hey buddy, take care and don't do anything too stupid. Love ya man." Still haven't deleted his phone number from my phone.
