The most pain you've ever been in

I was in a car accident when i was 17 (20 now)...as i result i was paralyzed from the waist down (incomplete injury though..meaning my spinal cord was not cut, also meaning i can feel the pain).....but i have gotten a bit better (still don't have most of my function, most of my leg muscles don't work with the expception of my quadriceps and a bit of my hamstrings...but i can stand with braces on and a cane....don't really want to get into detail with the rest..) but trust me when I say ..I have never felt pain like this..it's rediculous...especially when you're nerves are so missed up they send wrong signals that feel like electricity,fire/burning, sharp shooting pain, and needles poking your legs all the time and etc...it's hell..i guess the worst story here so far..

I have chronic kidney stones (every other year usually). The pain of pissing a rock out of your penis shames anything else here...

I haven't experienced anything extremely painful like some of the stories on here, but reading this one reminded me of a time I was in the urologist office and I could hear another patient in a different room screaming in pain. When I asked the doctor what was going on, he said he was passing kidney stones the size of golf balls. I have never heard anything like it before in my life. It sounded like the most horrible torture possible.

I can think of three hard to gauge the pain. When I was 6 years old I went outside to go catch fireflies. I was barefoot and as I ran through the dark I stepped on a double edge hoe. It was rusted and got lodged in my foot. Had to get the tip of the hoe removed from my foot, the hole stitched up, and a tetanus shot.

8 years ago I was walking in woods around my house. I was walking on a plank of wood when it felt like something stung me. I tried to move when I noticed I could not. A 6 inch nail was poking through the top of my boot. The nail went straight through my foot fracturing one of my toes. Since I could not move I had to pull my foot free from the plank. That is when it started to hurt pulling it free. Now I have a nasty callous the formed around the scar. It was the same foot by the way.

The last one is also a foot problem. I had an ingrown toenail. I didnt have medical insurance so I didnt get it treated. Four years later I let it get infected. To make a long story short I dropped a iron rod on my toe and the ingrown nail got lodged in the bone. I was rushed to the emergency room and had to get it pulled out before my foot got gangreen. they didnt give me a pain shot. They cut toe nail in half then janked it off. I couldnt grow the side of my nail for three years.

When I was a little kid, I fell off the monkey bars into the rocks below and bit straight through my bottom lip. Still have a small scar.

In middle school I superman'd through the air in a bike accident. I landed with my hands outstretched and managed to rip off both of my palms. While I was recovering, I tried to get out of gym because my palms were nothing but meat, puss, and bandages. The coach/asshole threw the basketball at me so I would reflexively catch it and told me to go play ball. He didn't care. I still want to kill that asshole.

But none of those things were as painful as a simple medication that probably helps most of you: amoxycillin. I had my wisdom teeth pulled, which is enough to bother most people, but that was no biggie. The problem was my dentist and I didn't know I was horribly allergic to anything related to penicilllin. The amoxicillin produced a rash that caused unheard of levels of pain in my hands, arms, legs, and feet. At first, it would itch. If I would indulge the itch, it would alleviate for a few seconds, then return. A person can only scratch so much before their skin starts to show wear and tear though. If I tried not to scratch, the itch would grow and grow until it wasn't really an itch anymore but a seering, godawful form of pain. If I tried to tolerate that, I would break a cold sweat and my hands would begin to shake. If I held out a little longer, the pain would grow so great that I fell to my knees because it was just so overwhelming. Eventually I would have to scratch and repeat the cycle. This went on for well over a week. It was maddening. I also wasn't able to take pain killers during any of this because at the time, we weren't sure if I was reacting to the amoxicillin or the pain killers the dentist had me on. I think a few others here have worse stories, but that was the worst pain of my life.

When I was a kid I climbed in a tree. One of my siblings left a rake under the tree. It wasn't a rake with thin prongs, either; they were thick steel ones. Well, naturally I jumped out of the tree and stabbed my foot. It hurt like hell.

Do you drink a lot of soda? If so, not drinking soda might help.

I'd have to say falling out of a boat going 50mph cracking my elbow and skipping across the water like a dying fish would be the most painful I've ever had.
