Would someone who's already watched the videos mind posting 25-11? I don't see why they have to only have the videos. At least they should have a tl;dr version so I find what they think the ranking is and then if I care what the justification is I can look at the video.

And Inazuma, I'm guessing they're making the video from the perspective of the American market, where the Saturn was pretty underwhelming. I agree that when you include in all the Japanese exclusives it definately ranks better than an 18.

Yeah, that would explain it. The first scenario of Shining Force III was released in the USA however. That game alone should put the Saturn up to like 5th place imo. Oh, but this isn't about games or fun. It's about being the first to have 4 controller ports or CD-ROM support...

My guess on the top 5:

1) Sony Playstation
2) NES
3) Atari 2600
4) Genesis
5) SNES

They have a slant toward the genesis, and I can bet a pretty penny that it is in the top 5. I dont know how the Playstation wouldnt be #1... so many games, 100 million systems sold, introduced the CD game mainstream...

Well the nes basically saved the gaming industry in the mid 80s and pretty much redefined what game consoles were capable of. You went from shallow pointless games with graphics that were meant more to "symbolize" objects than to actually look like them, to games on the nes, which were actually fun, deep, and interesting. I can't see how the ps2 wouldn't be in the top 5, it's 9 years old, still selling, and still getting new games. Not to mention it was the first system to have dvd playback. The original playstation will probably be in the top 5 too, but putting games on cd wasn't exactly revolutionary by that point; Turbografx cd, jaguar cd, sega cd, 3do, saturn. . .

Whatever your opinion of halo, without it the xbox probably wouldn't have lasted and we might not have gotten the 360. Although I guess it's sort of a chicken and the egg situation.

Halo made the Xbox successful, it didn't make the actual system good. that's all I was sayin'

This list smells of awful. Obviously IGN didn't play even half the systems they're honoring. My bet is that they're going by wikipedia.

Wow, that girl was annoying. I muted the volume and let the pictures do the talking.
