2009 Tokyo Game Show....anyone going?

Just checking to see if any Racketboy members are going to the big show later this month. Actually, I have to make a choice between TGS and Tokyo Motor Show in October. I don't have enough sick days left for the year to go to both. Right now I am leaning more towards the motor show, but if I kiss my boss' ass enough, I will be able to go to both.

So, if anyone goes, perhaps we can meet!

I've been in the area for the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 shows... and have attended none of them. I live about 1 hour from where the show is.

Honestly, the TGS really doesn't appeal to me much. Maybe it's the large crowds and line ups. I'd rather go for a bike ride or walk in the park and then read about what happened after it's all said and done. Yeah, I suck.

If it was the Tokyo Retro Game Show, that would be another story altogether.

I've lived in Japan for 3 years now and I still haven't been to one Tokyo Game Show. It would take me about an hour and a half by bus to get down to Tokyo from where I live. What's wrong with me?

I would go with a friend but I haven't had a chance to go with anybody I really know. Meeting up with a fellow board member wouldn't be a bad place to start I suppose. Sitting on a train/bus sucks. I wish I could drive my car out there but it's just not worth it because I don't have ETC or GPS (those are in my gf's car which I paid for both.) I get stuck with the 2007 wagonR. ;_;

I've been wanting to go to a TGS show for a few years now. Sadly living in Canada doesn't help .
If any of you guys go and happen to see any Suikoden merch at the Konami booth, I'll pay you cost + something extra for it . I am somewhat of a huge suikoden collector, my girlfriend too

Yeah, same for me too.. I will go to TGS when I do have my trip to Japan someday..

I'd love to go with you but I don't have the money to afford the trip. Plus I lack a passport. I never travel anywhere...

I have been here in Japan since 2002, but I have only went once, just last year. Funny that I lived in Tokyo from 2002 to 2006, then I didn't go to the Tokyo Game Show until after I moved. Well, since nobody is going I just might go to the Motor Show instead since it is only once every 2 years.
