I also just found my old hand drawn maps with all the items numbered as I figured out a speed run to get all items and still finish under 3 hours.

I always find those weird little hand drawn maps and the like to be pretty cool and I never could figure out how people do it.

They're not really that exciting. But in the 80s and early 90s, ¼ inch graph paper was your friend. Just gonna post a few. Looks like the pink numbers were the first run and the purple was a revision with a few more items (yeah colors, shut up, they were apparently handy and high visibilityMod_Man_Extreme wrote:Dude, post those up!Hobie-wan wrote:Heh. And holy crap, I looked to still see if I had my old Bards Tale maps. I do, but I'd completely forgotten that a friend had given me his copy of Wasteland back in the day. Wasteland being the game that inspired the original Fallout games.

I think it clocks in around 40-50 hours. To be honest it's been so long since I've done a straight new game that I don't remember.Nintendude94 wrote:How long does CT last? I'm like 11-12 hours in personally.

Dude, Earthbound costs like, $100 bucks.KholdStare wrote:Earthbound.
I'm personally just getting started on playing Super Nintendo; my girlfriend has had this one since she first moved to America from the Philippines, and all she really ever had for it was Super Mario platformers (Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, then as a one-off, Mario Paint). I bought The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past for her as a gift (don't worry, not all my gifts to her are video games) because Ocarina of Time is one of her favorite games. I've played alot of great Super Nintendo games, but only got a little bit of time with them (a friend of my sister's was out of home, so he moved into out house for awhile with basically a bag of clothes and a box of Super Nintendo stuff), and we're looking to really get a great collection of classics for us to play.
So basically I'm in the same position as you; I'm working out deals on Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana and already have Final Fantasy III, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Mario Kart coming in the mail. And then she just ordered Super Mario RPG, and is really starting to get into Link to the Past then a couple weeks ago she got TMNT: Turtles in Time from her cousin because she knew how much I loved the game (ah, love). I'm trying to figure out which game to play first. I'm guessing Final Fantasy III, but I really don't know. It's really difficult because I'm in college. I need to get my own Super Nintendo, but they're always like, $30-40 around here. Which isn't that bad, but I mean... it's just annoying because you can pick up a Genesis for like, $10. I'm on the fence, because I know I won't get to play the games as much between having college and having to share with someone who lives in a different house but like... that $35 could buy me a copy of Chrono Trigger...
