Games like Final Fantasy III, Phantasy Star IV, Skies of Arcadia, Shining Force III, Virtua Fighter 4, Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Super Mario Galaxy, Metal Gear Solid, Snatcher, and basically any other Sega, Nintendo, Squaresoft, Treasure, or Konami title worth mentioning fall just a tad short. Games that surprisingly came very close: Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future (Sega Dreamcast), and Border Down (Sega Dreamcast).

There are also alot of games that I have creeping suspicions would creep into my top games lists if I could find the time to play through them: games like ICO, Xenogears, Grandia, Valkyrie Profile, and a handful of others.

I'm trying to base this list on games I spent a lot of time on at various points in my life and games that I end up thinking about and referencing when I'm not playing them. I know that this list is tinged with nostalgia, but these are all games that I would be happy to bust out and play right this second.
