Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Jesus Christmas, the guy just wants to try and get google to honor the DC. He doesn't want to commit genocide. I do not think it will work and I do agree with everyone about the difference in impacts between the NES and Tetris and the DC. I do not, however, think that sending google an email or whatever is the end of the world. I have posted my thoughts on the subject and was getting ready to agree with everyone that comparing the worldwide reception of the DC to the reaction of hardcore gamers on a hardcore retro gaming site may not be very balanced, but this guy seems to realize that it is a long shot and that probably nothing will happen. Sounds to me like he is saying "what the hell, why not?"

I think the rest of this post is him defending his own feelings about the system and everyone going at him like a mad dog. Comparing him to a tyrant for going after something no matter how unobtainable it might be is a bit weird... especially since everyone seems to be trying to silence this guy for having an opinion and an aspiration (he said only for the week) and for trying to have fun, not to mention that everyone is doing so in a very vehement manner - you guys should read up on the actions and personalities of your tyrants if you want to play that game. I would much rather just leave Hitler and all the others out of the conversation and let someone have fun for a week regardless of the outcome. He already assured us of his intentions and that he is well aware it might not work.

I am not saying they were right for putting Tetris over Dday, but I know quite a few Germans who would have been offended by it - as they have stated. To put it in an extreme context, how would you feel if for August 6th they put up the bombing of Hiroshima when the creation of the modern World Wide Web was on the same day?
That reminds me the first bombing in the contigious 48 states happen on 9/9. The japanesse dropped a couple of bombs on Oregon. I didnt even know that till yesterday.

I honestly don't care about what other people believe deserves a greater honor. Would I like some support? Yes.
I might have supported you if you had sold me that Sharp/NES combo unit back in April instead of being all like, "There's this cool thing at the thrift store, but I don't want it," and then saying "Oh, I was just kidding. I totally want it and I'm keeping it, can't you tell when I'm joking?"

Grrr...

Pephary, that is really odd since I read about that yesterday evening aswell. I am not sure how I got there since I was reading about firearms of the 30s.

Just about to get to bed now although I am still wide awake. I am not a hypochondriac and I do not think I have this, but my wife was talking about my insomnia so I decided to just wiki it... anyhoo I came across this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatal_familial_insomnia

and even scarier because of the videos:

This would be a great horror movie, I mean something psychological not the couple of absurd monster flicks I saw trailers for on youtube while looking this up.

You should check out my "tips to sleeping" in the insomniac thread if you haven't already.
That, or you can always punch yourself where your neck meets your skull. It is dangerous, but you will knock yourself out,
