Yeah, but you could say the DC was too.

Think about it the DC was only really in the spotlight for two years (Japan 1998-2000, US & Worldwide 1999-2001) before it was overtaken by the PS2 GC & XBOX, but in those two years it was a phenomenon.

10 Million in two years? Back then that was unheard of, even the original PS1 had only sold about 54 million at that point but it had taken it 5 years, ruthless advertising and exclusivity contracts with publishers to make it that popular. The DC hit hard when it launched but faded away with the PS2 generation, I get that. But it was undoubtedly a phenomenon during it's short life.

I'm not saying that the DC was not popular at all. And obviously a lot of people on THIS board have one. But think of it like this, which team would you rather be on if we were playing Tug-O-War? (A) People who had/have Tetris, or (B) people who had/have a Dreamcast?

It's not even a close comparison, man. Parents, teachers, nongamers know Tetris. Hardcore gamers know DC.

B) Dreamcast: You can play Tetris anywhere but you can only play Dreamcast on a Dreamcast.

Ding! Ding! Ding! I think you've got it!

I honestly don't care about what other people believe deserves a greater honor. Would I like some support? Yes. Will I still give it a shot even against the odds? YES!

That's how I was taught to think, If you've got a goal then go for it no matter what!

Yeah that is the spirit... start a thread (aka conversation) and then ignore any opposing (rational) thoughts on the subject!

Look, I'm a perfectly rational guy but what's wrong with being an irrational Dreamcast fanboy every once and a while?
