How does your job help or hinder your retro gaming?
Re: How does your job help or hinder your retro gaming?
I'm a systems developer which is great for having the income to play games, but I have an hour+ commute each way into Philly everyday on the train. My work laptop has crappy battery life so my gametime is limited to nights and weekends. Having a gf also doesn't help that out when she "just doesn't get the point of it".

Yeah, I got a WII just so I could play games my gf wanted to play. For some reason, girls just don't like 2d fighters.

How has that been working? My gf wanted me to get a wii (I just got a ps3 slim) but I fear her boring of it quickly. But in the meantime we sit on the couch while she does stuff for her classroom while I play burnout or red faction

A psp or other portable console with emulation would be good for you. I have an hour commute everyday and with the psp I have played some many games that before had no time to. Also helps me watch movies, tv shows and anime. When I get back home I usually sit at the computer and get sucked in reading about games and not playing at all. Just like right now.DerekG52 wrote:I'm a systems developer which is great for having the income to play games, but I have an hour+ commute each way into Philly everyday on the train.
