The Usual

Post by Saraph »

Sony Computer Entertainment of America has just contacted GamePro with the following news: the company has officially discontinued the 20 GB PlayStation 3 model, which had the lower price of $499.

Well gee, that's lovely! I think this is a smart move honestly, it won't confuse consumers with 3 different models. Microsoft may be all about choice but how long do you think they can keep up with producing 3 systems? Not to mention with the newest price of $479 for the "Elite" it really shows how well Sony has priced the PS3 in terms of an all in one system.

On to more shocking news, I recently viewed a video for the new Halo 3 Multi-player Alpha build and honestly, it looks like Halo 2.1. I thought Bungie was spending all their time trying to harness the 360's potential in all areas? I am very unimpressed.

Well, hopefully Japanese stores will keep the 20GB in stock for awhile.... otherwise I don't see getting one anytime soon unless the price for the 60GB model is dropped.

Wi-fi is meaningless to me. I don't play games online. I don't download or buy anything. In the rare case I need to download a patch or whatever I'll toss in an ethernet cable to my router. Both are in the same room. I assume I can FTP through Linux from my main PC.

Memory card reader? Doesn't it have a hard drive already?

Chrome trim....um yeah.

Once a HD-Advance for PS3 or something comes along I'll just buy a larger hard drive from newegg.
