Picked up Silpheed today

Post by bawitback »

Just picked up Treasure (late Working Designs) Silpheed.

I remember reading about Silpheed for Sega CD (GameFan 1995 issue) and in awe with the graphics; at the time. I never had a chance to play it, but PS2's Silpheed: The Lost Planet is not that bad. The price sure wasn't either, $5.99 att EB :D

I'm at level 2 now, i'm going to play more later. Anyone own this game?

Yeah, I have that game. I've only played a little bit of it though... I wanted to play through the Sega CD one first... which I still haven't done yet.

For some reason Silpheed: TLP has gotten some really bad reviews. From what little I've played of the game, it doesn't seem all THAT bad. (At least it's not Ikaruga. )

bawitback, I just noticed your playing Dragon Breed!
I played that game once in a grocery store when I was little and never saw it again. Is it a cool game? (I don't really remember what it was like) Is it something that would be worth my while to track down? :)

i picked up a copy 2 days ago for 3.99 at eb. it's no ikaruga but still enjoyable and especially for the price. one thing i hate about the game though is the different guns, there so useless lol.

Great game -- one of the first games I picked up for my Sega CD back in the day.
Still get a kick out of it.
And yeah, the guns are pointless :)

Dragon Breed is a cool game - you can probably find the arcade version for MAME without too much trouble.
