Yeah, there's so many better tunes to play.

I don't think he was implying that's what you do, I think he was just saying he hopes that's NOT what you do. And since you don't, I can't see how there's a problem.

Respect well deserved.

I would suggest that everyone should at least in one point of their lives try to start a band. No matter what kind.

I admit I listened to some metallica in middle school, but I spent more time listening to Helmet and Primus. I think Primus has aged very well, and metallica albums now sound.. Well, pretty laughable. It's like listening to Bale's Batman voice covering Iron Maiden.

nice cabs, i would have opted for a head or some rack gear in lieu of the combo but that's a personal choice. i used to play through a formula preamp powered by the almighty mesa simul-class 2:90, but had to sell it off a while back. i still think the 2:90 is the meanest thing mesa has ever put out and hopefully i'll get one again someday. my jcm900 will do me just fine for now i guess.

also, the first three metallica records are essentially flawless. this is a fact. helmet is a niche with most people, unfortunately. primus is awesome but larry lalonde was better in possessed, i think. and silverchair is also awesome. i don't see how those 4 bands are really related, though.

and fuck a guitar hero.

Ahhhh, a JCM900. My first amp was a little Marshall Lead-12, that's probably why I've always leaned toward the Marshall tone. I was going to get a 900 myself. I forget why I decided to get a DSL instead. I have a JCM900 Lead-1960 cab though lol.
