New Target Ad Confirms Xbox 360 Pro and Elite Price Cuts

Post by Weekend_Warrior »

The rumor that Microsoft plans to drop the price of the Xbox 360 Elite down to $299 on August 30th appears to finally be true.

Still no official word from Microsoft on them discontinuing the Xbox 360 Pro model. But with the newest SKU boxes that have recently been hitting retail stores displaying only the Arcade and Elite models as being the current two available system choices, I'm sure this is a certainty

even at $299 the PS3 is still the better buy, since online is free with PS3 and it has WiFi built in...Live is better then PSN, but is it really worth $50 a year...it depends on how much you play online I guess, if your game online every day then it's worth it.

I have yet to buy either one, but am leaning towards a PS3 Slim.

I plan on getting the slim soon, but with the influx of money, wouldn't it be Sony's prerogative to upgrade PSN?

Slims are out, and quite odd looking compared to the first run of PS3s. A 360 price drop was to be expected though. Things should heat up this holiday season.
