Oh, that's right. That's why I hate the sun.

Yeah now it all comes back to me. Every few years I seem to forget what sunburns are like, and I decide that it's high time I upgrade this pale body to something less repulsive. So I lay out for 90 minutes last saturday, and I've been in fucking agony ever since. My whole torso is just scorched, but only on the front. I guess I didn't flip myself at the right time. I'm like one of my pancakes.

Bought some aloe but it does nothing but increase the pain. Took some "Equate" painkillers and they actually seem to help each time. Funny how they never do jack shit for headaches, but for damaged flesh, they actually function. They get me able to at least tolerate the application of clothes.

So how do you people remedy sunburns? Or better yet, how do you even exist in the sight of that blasted fireball?

I haven't sunbathed since a nasty experience way back in HS. Cooked for 3 hours at the beach wearing an SPF4 because we didn't know any better. (SPF30 sounded too high...duh.) Two weeks of blistering, two weeks of peeling. Had to sleep on towels to keep the sheets dry from the blisters. Pretty foul.

Aloe, that green gel stuff is good for most burns. If that doesn't work, go see a doctor. They have creams that'll speed up the healing process. A guy I know with a crew cut freaked when the doctor told him scalp burns could lead to bald patches. Whatever they gave him worked really fast.

Sunburns aren't fun. Pure Aloe Vera can help speed up healing process from over exposure to the sun and wind..

I'm pale. Very, very pale. I've been outside every single day of the summer either at the pool or hanging out with friends. I've used sun block maybe twice. I have no discernible tan. I don't have any burns either. My dad is just amazed by my lack of a tan.

Aloe - pure and simple. Though if you want it to hurt more: campo phenique. Itll burn and itch like hell, then feel alot better. If I were you Id just stick to aloe.

Another vote for Aloe, that's the only stuff that's ever worked for me.

I remember this kinda funky smelling stuff my mom used to paster on me called Calamine cream or some such thing. It seemed to work. I've used Bactine before for welding flash burns (worse than sunburn) and it seems to help the pain a bit and the burn heals much quicker. I only get sunburnt once a year, so when the time's right I get a decent burn on as much of my body as possible. During the next 3 days the burnt skin peels off and I'm cured for the rest of the year. Every trip to the beach after that I just get more tanned.

My vote goes for Bactine. Apply a fine mist of it every 2 or so hours.

Also, I never use sunblock, I can't stand the smell or feel of that stuff. A little skin cancer never hurt anyone... right?
