It's true, Mesas have some of the biggest balls when it comes to guitar amps. The only thing I've heard sound better was a Hughes and Ketnner Triamp. Those will run you almost $3,000 just for the head though.

I'm a bass player myself, but had to sell some of my gear off a couple months back. Had an Ampeg SVT-3 Pro with an SWR 8x10 Workingman's cabinet.

I have owned 5 different Mesas (Triaxis, Roadking, Mark IV, Dual Rec) and a Diezel Herbert. (all at different times of course) And i would have to say this Boogie hands down is the most versatile amp i have ever used. Well worth the sacrifice.

Gorgeous, man.

I really wish I was good enough to justify getting something so nice.

lol, I hate Guitar Hero. I guess it's great if you don't play guitar. You get to feel like you do. But when you actually play guitar it feels like a Fisher Price toy.

That's some serious coinage. I never played a Mesa amp because I know I will not want to spend that much money on one. I guess you can say I fear that I'll like it, then end up breaking the bank buying one.

I was gonna post some of my gear in my Game Room thread, but was hesitant. I didn't realize we had this many gear heads here.

But congrats on the new amp, man! I love getting new gear... such a good feeling.

I put my music gear in my gameroom thread:

It turns out that a lot of people here are also musicians. You should post up those pics!

I hope you actually plan to do something with this setup instead of just hanging out, smoking weed and trying to play Metallica tunes all day.
