Hey guys, I just started to burn bleemed PSX games on dreamcast. The discs are working, but the games don't recognize the dreamcast's VMU, so I can't save any games.
Is there a way to save when you're running a bleemed PSX game on Dreamcast?

Sorry, I'm pretty sure you can't save with Bleemcast.
Which sort of makes you not care about playing PS games on Dreamcast, doesn't it?

Yeah seriously, what a bummer. Well, thanks for saving me the time that I otherwise would have spent barking up THAT tree.Sorry, I'm pretty sure you can't save with Bleemcast.

There's really no point in Bleeming PSX games other than for shits and giggles. The enhancements are always offset by some bullshit degradations. Example: you can't use the analog stick or watch cut-scenes. in Omega Boost.

Hey now, don't give bleemcast a bad name here. The 3 official packs (Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, Gran Tourismo 2) were amazing at playing their respective games. The one that can play any game is some shitty leaked beta that wasn't meant for the public.

I don't know about the other two, but Metal Gear Solid blurs the text pretty badly and you need an entire VMU to save your game. Also, the game looks better on the PS2.dlmvii wrote:Hey now, don't give bleemcast a bad name here. Yes, you need a full VMU to save, but at least it can save unlike the beta. I can buy the text bit, but in game comparisons look pretty goodGSZX1337 wrote:I don't know about the other two, but Metal Gear Solid blurs the text pretty badly and you need an entire VMU to save your game. All i'm saying is bleemcast isn't some shitty unpolished emulator, it was very impressive for the machine it was running on, and unfortunately it met a premature death.

I was looking at the screenshots here.
Bleemcast was far from shitty, but for serious PSX emulation, I'd just stick to the PC emulators (ie. PSX or ePSXe).

Agreed. MGS Bleem was kind of a halfassed attempt. Tekken and GT2 weren't bad.GSZX1337 wrote:I was looking at the screenshots here.
