I saw a Classic NES GBA today for $40. And I was so gonna buy it but then I realized there were two pretty bad scratches in the screen. Sad. It was so awesome looking.
You know Nintendo sells replacement GBA screen lenses (with the removal tool) in there online store for about $2 right?

I just looked thru their site, and the GBA has a screen replacement kit, but the GBA SP has this message:

Game Boy Advance SP

Due to the construction of the screen itself on a Game Boy Advance SP, it is not possible to replace its screen cover without special facilities and tools. As a result, we are unable to offer personal screen cover replacement kits at this time. If the screen cannot be seen due to excessive scratches, you will need to have the unit repaired.

$35 for:

Genesis model 2, boxed, all cords & 2 controllers
Phantasy Star IV CIB
Sword of Vermilion CIB
Earthworm Jim boxed
Pac-Attack CIB
few other misc. games.

I'm mostly just excited about this because I polished off CIB copies of Phantasy Star I-IV with this.

That's odd I've seen them on there before multiple times, I guess Nintendo's just trying to cover all the bases in the legal department. If you really want that NES GBA SP I say call Nintendo first and see what their rates are for lens replacement/screen repair, their prices to fix older consoles and handhelds are usually negligibly cheap so it may be an option you may want to try.

Yeah, PS1 games came in big boxes like that at first. They went through phases of all black plastic, big jewel cases like Saturn/SCD games, and then glossy hinged cardboard longboxes before ending up in normal CD jewel cases. The funny ridged pattern that's up the left side of the cover under the tray of every non-GH game was on the original all black longboxes. They wanted to preserve all that hard design work as they kept switching to cheaper more convenient packaging I guess.

I think the original intention was to have PS1 games in CD Jewel Cases (this is how they were always sold in Japan... I think). But Sony didn't have enough on hand to package the PS1 games (music CDs were still sold in mass back then and it meant a shortage of Jewel cases). So Sony actually ended up up purchasing the giant Jewel box cases from Sega and packaging the launch titles in those. This lasted a short time until Sony came up with the solution for the ribbed, black boxes. And even that didn't last long. With in a few months everything was repackaged in Jewel cases.

I have a few of those long Saturn/SCD style cases and one or two cardboard hinged cases.

Ok I walked into a pawn shop out of town from where I live, the sign said they sale just tools and jewelry mainly. I was browsing around didn't see any games so I went over to the DVD's and VHS shelf and there it was sitting all by its lonesome........

CHRONO TRIGGER COMPLETE IN BOX with 2 maps/posters, with a orange round sticker on the box saying $5 bucks on it. I about crapped my pants!!! Needless to say I picked it up without hesitation yelled across the dirty old place to the old man behind the counter on the other side of the building, "I'll give you $3 bucks for it, thats all I have on me" He said "sure".
:D
I had a similar find in a pawn shop last year. I found R-Type III (SNES) complete for $5
