Yeah, Tom has a TON of PS2 games in, I just need to see how much he sells them for.J T wrote:I think the PS2 is the best system of all time given its immense library of excellent (and now very inexpensive) games. If you don't have one, you should get one.

Re: your opinion
If your sig is still up to date and you have a broken Dreamcast, then replace it. Sure, pirating games is wrong but pirating DC games hurts no one. Nobody is losing money and the games are fucking wicked sweet. Hell you could find a DC super cheap and get a few games for other systems at the same time.

That was another thing I was considering, I could get another deck for $15. What is a good place to burn games though? (until I buy legit ones, of course) Demonoid didn't work for me. : Pmiked wrote:If your sig is still up to date and you have a broken Dreamcast, then replace it. Search by letter and download like mad. They might not have everything you want, but they have most of the big name titles and they are direct downloads not torrents. Not a bad place to start, thats for sure. Fuck demonoid BTW. I used an invite and everything and never connected to any seeds.

Re: your opinion
The Genesis is great as a start-up or new console because it's games are dirt cheap. A Gamecube would be another good choice as well due to it also having great and cheap games and hardware.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

Re: your opinion
Well, I love the Saturn, just make sure that you before you get a Saturn, you also get a 4-in-1 Action Replay and S-Video connection. S-Video makes your Saturn games look sexy, and Action Replay lets you play import games.
Honestly, if you don't plan on importing games, then you should skip the Saturn. It has some great domestic hits, but 75% of its library is Japan-Only. And don't be discouraged with the whole 'Saturn games are expensive' bit. Most of my Saturn library consists of games that didn't cost more than $10, some even only costing $0.01. (Grandia was one of those games I snapped for a penny.)

Re: your opinion
I agree with JT as well. Get a PS2 first because of the great game library and how cheap games are for it nowadays.
