best 4-player games?

Post by V3rtigo »

I have a regular video game night and we're always on the hunt for good 4-player games. normally, we play mario kart wii, mario kart 64, goldeneye 64, bust-a-move plus, tetris party, and tetris worlds.

what are some other good ones?

For Genesis/Mega Drive:

Gauntlet IV
General Chaos
Mega Bomberman
Yu Yu Hakusho: Makyo Toitsusen

You may prefer Super Bomberman, but I personally prefer the Mega Drive version because it has Louies (kangaroo-like creatures each with unique abilities).
You'll probably like Micro Machines for either SNES or Genesis, seeing as everybody else does - personally I wasn't fond of it; I didn't like how the game always stops for a few seconds everytime someone crashes. Micro Machines is 8-player.

Plus:

Nekketsu Kakutou Densetsu for NES
Power Stone 1-2 for Dreamcast

I was just looking at this for the PSX last night:
Poy Poy 1/2 - fighting
Team Buddies - action/rts
Blaze & Blades - action rpg
Micro Machines - racing

But for the consoles you mentioned:
N64:
Mario Tennis
Battle Tanx Global Assault (normal Battle Tanx is only two player)
Conker
Turok 2

Wii:
Mario Strikers Charged - I was hesitant, but it is awesome and have not regretted it.
Bubble Bobble - AWESOME 4 player. Wiiware
BlastWorks - Soso 4 player
Alien Syndrome - Fun dungeon crawl
Bomberman Blast - Awesome 8 player action. Either Wiiware or Retail - retail is the better version though (more battlefields).
Dungeon Explorer - 5 player dungeon crawl. Virtual Console

Wait, what am I doing. Go buy a 2600, two sets of paddles and Warlords. You never need another game after that.
