If we're mentioning TV shows, then South Park is worth noting because they have funny episodes about World of Warcraft, Guitar Hero, and a fictional console called the Okama Game Sphere.

to add to that, cartman freezes his self in time to get a wii, kenny gets a psp and dies and gets a golden psp

Don't forget the episode where Cartman becomes a tooth fairy in order for them to raise the funds to buy a Dreamcast! I haven't seen that one for a while, but it was pretty funny. As usual everything got way out of hand and escalated ridiculously of control
