I want to buy it, but the release date for the PC isn't official yet.
I hear ya on the RROD. Its is one of the reasons why I won't buy a 360, aside from the fact that you can get the best 360 games on the PC.

I've got the Best Buy replacement plan, and this is the one instance in which it's worth it. Just waiting for that price drop to materialize...

Re: Did anyone buy Shadow Complex today?
I played through the demo twice today and I found it to be pretty entertaining. However, I've discovered a ton of issues with glitching and clipping, and I found the story to be pretty dull/generic as well.
I had fun, but my overall feeling was that it doesn't do enough new things. I'm admittedly bias because of my love for Metroid, but Shadow Complex feels pretty much like playing Super Metroid in a new skin.

Re: Did anyone buy Shadow Complex today?
Yeah, I got this yesterday and had an evening in on the videogames, and played it a little more after coming home from work today.
So, what do I think... well, first up, I'm more of an action fan than a 'wondering around, getting lost and not knowing what to do next' fan - i.e. never beaten a 2D metroid-vania game - so I like that you have a blue line to follow even when your character can have no legitimate reason to know where he needs to go next. I can tell that there's lots of potential for back tracking, as there are loads of doors that I can't open with my current guns - I'm just hoping that most of this will be optional... anyway, genre aside, the combat is quite fun and occasionally challenging (I'm playing on 'hardcore', there's also 'insane'). It's a bit of a twin stick shooter, which I wasn't too keen on, but have grown to accept - it makes the combat a bit more intense. The action happens on a 3D playing field on which you can only move in 2D, in that there are sometimes badguys in the background which you have to shoot, and this feels a bit hit and miss. But, overall thumbs up on gameplay.
The setting, storyline and dialogue all seem a bit forgettable - to be honest, i've been playing this with the radio on so I havn't a clue what's going on, other than I've got to rescue the girl, and follow the blue line. All good for me. The technology is pretty cool - you fight the spider tank in the demo, which I loved (all things Shirow are good for me) , and have come up against some slightly more hardcore teched up enemy soldiers - again, I like this.
My one complaint is use of the Unreal engine, which I know is kind of the point of the game, but it just makes it feel like gears of war, or inFamous, or... I don't know - whatever other shitty FPS or 3rd person shooter is flavour of the month - I really despise these games as they seem to take no skill, have the worst possible storylines (bring back Deus Ex & System Shock 2) and just need some vegetable on the end of the controller to pay £30 and plow on through to complete. Rinse and repeat. The crappy dialogue, boring colour palette, faux 'tough guy' attitude of the main character, the way the game trys to hold your dick while you piss, faceless enemies, unreal engine, and general banality of it all makes me feel like I'm playing one of these chavtastic, 20 B&H, dickhead-skool twat fests. Still, the blue line is good.
So yeah, I'm mixed feelings about this one. I like the new rating system on xbox, so I'll not be rating this 5 stars along with Portal, Braid, THE & Ikaruga, and I'm not even sure if it will be 4 stars like Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers and REz, but it's definitely better than Geometry Wars, Galaga legions, Schizoid and all the other average crap.
I'm feeling controversial... Feel free to discuss.

Thought it was shit. I've played much better 2.5D side scrollers and this just isn't worth the asking price imo.
