Sega Saturn Action replay.

Post by Arbitern1 »

Does the action replay work very good? I am going to use it to play import games and i was just wondering if it was any good. I know it wears out the cart slot, but if i leave it in there will it do minimum damage to the slot?

Yea, it's a great tool. Plays imports just fine....doesn't really wear out the slot  . Just don't keep ramming and removing it and you should be fine. Go for the 4-1 or whatever it's called now and there really shouldn't be a reason to remove it.

I've got the 4-in-1and I love it. It makes it possible to play so many games that weren't possible before.

If you have a mod chip, you can region patch disc images so that they will play without the 4-in-1. Or you can do the region mod. I'd still recommend the 4-in-1 just for the memory card function. Always nice to have your saves backed up. And of course those games that need the ram expansion. I never used the cheat function.

Not if the game you're trying to play requires memory expansion.

AR for imports/space to keep saves. Modchip for backups. But as said above, if you have a Mod, you can backup your import and patch the region before burning.
