Well it really isn't a "mash up" in the true sense. I just thought it was cool. It's not meant to be a perfect sync or anything. The way it was used in the tv show was that the cops were peter gunn theme, while the other people were being tailed. Its in the first episode of either the 3rd or 4th season of the sopranos. So yeah I guess it doesn't make sense unless in context
