PSP 3600 mAh battery problem
I just got a PSP 3600 mAh battery a month or so back, but it just suddenly stopped working. Yeah, it won't let my PSP power on at all unless it's connected with an AC adapter or my original battery. This is really annoying, because it's supposed to be new. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do about it? It seems to be a connection problem. It sometimes works on it's own, but only for a few seconds before it dies. The battery power level is at maximum, so I'm pretty sure it's a connection issue in the battery.
Re: PSP 3600 mAh battery problem
If its a 3rd party battery, I wouldn't expect to much from it. I've never had any luck with them from my 360 and Wii controllers to my old GBA SP. I guess there not built with the same standards as 1st party ones for the most part. If its a Sony one however, I thought I read somewhere that Sony stopped selling them seperately them a while back so maybe its just old or a dud.

Be vary wary of 3rd party accessories (and sellers) for the psp, the pro duo alone are faked a lot.

If you bought it online (especially ebay or amazon), I expect you just bought a crappy one (might not even have been a 3600 mAh). Look at new prices direct from sony. If yours was cheaper, expect what you paid for it. On psp s, you have to bite the bullet if you don't want to get ripped off (and have to spend even more).

Yes they did. They don't even fit slims so its been a long time. Where did you buy it? I bought a fake one and it lasted about half of what the original does, sold it as soon as I could.corn619 wrote:If its a Sony one however, I thought I read somewhere that Sony stopped selling them seperately them a while back so maybe its just old or a dud.

Re: PSP 3600 mAh battery problem
I had the ebay seller send me another one, but this one burned out even quicker. It doesn't work at all anymore, either. I'm not even going to bother anymore; it's just not worth it. Obviously, all the batteries, or at least a great number of them, are defective.

Sound like the cheap chinese knockoffs. Good luck getting an official one, they're hard to tell apart in the wild and even harder to find for a decent price. Your best bet would be to pick up a PSP as spares/repairs of ebay (broken screens are usually the cheapest to find as spares since this is the part everyone wants to replace) and then take the battery and sell the thing back on ebay for the motherboard.lisalover1 wrote:I had the ebay seller send me another one, but this one burned out even quicker.
