What's the picture quality like? Any crossbleed? Does the image darken if more than one source is powered at a time?

This would cost me $119 United States dollars. For that price, it better be very good.

Are you getting it shipped from this country? That would be a big mistake. Just try and find the same brand from a chinese reseller. It would be much cheaper.

Looks like Bandridge is the brand according to what it says on the unit itself.

^^^ yeah, it's good, but probably not $119 good!

The signal remains constant no matter what you turn on or off or have running through the other channels - I'm not sure what you mean by crossbleeed, but to my eyes, and on my oldskool CRT Sony Triniton, the picture looks as good as if plugged direct into the tv's RGB - only thing is PS3 DVD's and Bluerays come out green and black, which i understand is due to some Sony anti piracy processes...

Crossbleed is when you get signal intereference from other devices plugged into the switch, cheap nasty switches suffer from it a lot, especially auto-switching devices. The picture gets worse the more devices you plug into it.

Why the hell does the PS2/3 output green when you use RGB cables. It's like a complete kick in the nuts, you use the best possible SD cable for the system and they screw with the picture. It's almost as if they don't want you to get the most out of the system. It's completely idiotic.

Well, I got my RGB switch box today but it didn't work at all. It was as if the unit was totally dead and nothing was being sent through it. It says full RGB support on the packaging and I can see that every pin is fully wired.

Later on, I grabbed my Europe > Japan converter cable and gave that a shot. Thanks to using it, I was able to get some video to show up on the TV but it's extremely horrible and loses the signal very fast. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

All I want is a simple RGB switch box that acts like a passthrough. Why is this so hard to accomplish?

*Update*

Finally! I figured it out. Here is the way to use a switch box with the XRGB-3:

Console > Eur RGB Scart cable > Eur RGB Scart switch box > Eur to JP RGB Scart region adapter > XRGB-3

So now I only need to spend a few bucks to buy 3 Eur scart cables to replace my Jp ones and I should be all set up with the switch box. It's too bad I didn't know about this earlier or else I would have gone with Eur cables from the beginning. Oh well. At least I don't have to spend a fortune on some rare JP switch box, if I could even find one.

This is the switch box that works for me:
