I wish I still had HOTD 2&3 cos I would find out for you. I've been looking for a decent lightgun shell for the Wii and have been underwhelmed by the offerings so far. I want something that has proper sights and doesn't feel really cheap. Plus I don't want something that is completely white.

If you have a large TV where you point isn't really where you shoot. You need to customize your sensor bar to give it more width. Or you can try it with the cursor for a while and then get acclimated. It is something that takes some practice to learn the quirks of the tv/bar ratio.

just you know- being fair to those that do use the cursor. :)

Yeah, the Wii uses a triangulation method to figure out where you're pointing, while the light gun is reading actual information off the screen. You can play a game of HotD with the sensor bar not even close to the TV as long as you turn your head.

Great post, just recently a friend of mine wanted to play some light gun style games on the wii so we we went out without checking reviews or anything and bought an official wii zapper and dream gear frag master. The zapper is just fine but the frag master is the worst gun accesory ever made so please everyone stay away from it. The main trigger is mapped to A button and no game I've tried on the wii (Call of Duty: WaW, HOTD overkill and Resident Evil UC) has a remapping option so you are stuck using the second trigger which is located on the grip itself to fire.

Its really uncomfortable and we really wanted to play so we opened it up taped the sliding mechanism so that when pressing the trigger it would move the B button also and scraped the A button presser that is on top of the gun. I blame both dream gear for their design and game developers for no button remapping.

House of the Dead Overkill is a great game, the over the top B horror movie style presentation is fun and hilarious. We beat the game in a couple of hours without practically dying but we were using aiming cursors so need to try setting them off for a challenge. I'm on a light gun craze so now I need to get a couple for the dreamcast and saturn.

As Isaac Washington from Overkill would put it that buckshot's one sexy motherfucking looking gun.
