I Won A Nintendo Wii Last Night

Post by retrogamer »

The purpose of this post is not to brag but to point out to all of the members here that if you eventually sign up for enough contests you will win at some point in your life. Most of you here know me for my posts in the contests and free stuff category. Last night I won the contest for the Nintendo Wii at a site called: www.GameTraderWorld.com?user=retrogamer85 There are no gurantees but the new prize for the end of April may be the new XBOX 360 Elite that is coming out. If not it will be another really cool console or handheld. All prizes are brand new and factory sealed by the way.
I noticed in the last few months that alot of people here were not checking out the contests and free stuff category on a regular basis. You really should take a look at that section and feel free to post contests that you find otherwise you are missing out if you are not in it to win it. I only choose to post contests which are legitimate, require no strings attatched or personal information, and are of interest to those in the gaming community.
Good luck to all those who enter these contests. :)

Wow -- congrats!

Once I get things organized around here, I hope to have more contests.

holy cow, congrats retrogamer!

I will admit to not looking at the contests much.
I always felt like most contests are just leadings to steal your personal info or some scam heh

but if your taking the time to filter the contests for just legitimate ones, then I'll give em a try too =)

Thanks for the congrats. I never expected to win a Nintendo Wii last night. I had alot of fun last time with your Hidden Gems contest. I use the ram cart I won in that contest almost everyday. Perhaps a contest for one of those handheld consoles that play a nice assortment of emulators would be a sweet giveaway. I'm too lazy to check right now but I think it is called the GP2X or something along those lines. Something like that would bring every retrogamer out of the wood work to visit your site. :D Besides purchasing items from the store please let us know what we can do as members here to help increase the revenue for your site so it can continue to grow.
This place is of great value to the retrogaming community. A special thanks goes out to you for making it all possible, and appreciation goes out to all of the moderators who work hard behind the scenes keeping the site in order.

Thank you for the congrats. I'm happy that you will check out that section more in the future. Racketboy and I have strict standards about what is put in there. If I don't feel safe entering something myself you will never see it posted here. In the event that someone else posts something questionable, the moderators are pretty quick to get it off of the site. As a matter of fact I owe racket an extra thanks. Ever since he made some site improvements a few months ago I have not seen any spammers posting garbage on the site nor have I had to moderate any messages in quite some time. Good job racket with the latest security/spam improvements.

Well, I only get a percentage, but anything you buy through the Amazon.com links on the "Cheapest Game" links will earn me a little cash.

Yeah, Mozgus recommended a good anti-bot addon for the forum. We've had a couple spammers show up last week, but I got rid of them. Before that we were spam free for a while.
