I would avoid the 32x and actually (i know i'm going to catch flack for this) the saturn. The amount of good games vs price of said games isn't worth it unless you really want to spend some cash. Dreamcast and mega cd are both really pirateable so they might be better places to start if you are on a budget.

But hey- what you have is gold. There isn't too many carts there are there just to take up space. In fact, the only ones i don't like are a few nes guys. And even then... i can't really tell what they are in the photo so i'm assuming they are ones i don't like. I probably have as many good snes carts as you do, and i have 20 or so more. :)

Plus, anyone who owns landstalker is aces.

Quickly added the names of the games under the pictures, never thought to do it.

While the 32X is one of those 'If I see it cheap' kind of deals (The same with the NGC and Atari 2600) the Saturn is something I have wanted to own for awhile. It is so hard to find Sega stuff in the wild that I doubt I will get anything for awhile.

I have a list in a spreadsheet of all the games I want on my systems, with the exception of Tale Spin, all those games are on it. I prefer thriller, not filler.

I forgot to mention every game up there was under $10 with the exception of maybe 2, I have to be tight on cash, Heck I got my megadrive for $16 with Megagames 6 and 2 controllers.
Plus, anyone who owns landstalker is aces.
Cheers, I had been looking for it for ages, went to a flea market and got it for $10AUS, was happy.

I wanted a Sega Saturn ever since I started High School, and I didn't get it until I was in my later years of college. All I can say is - GO FOR IT. Just make sure you get a 4-in-1 Action Replay and an S-Video connection. (And a TV with S-Video hook-ups.) The amount of awesome fighters, shmups, and other arcade style games makes it possibly my favorite console.

You've got a solid collection. Your N64 and NES collections stand out particularly in this regard, with all the Marios and Zeldas in there.

Nickfil might say to avoid the Saturn, but I say as far as the system's high dollar games are concerned, you really do get what you pay for. Shining Force III cost me somewhere up in the territory of $50 USD disc only and I have no regrets whatsoever. Plus the system has some good games that don't cost much, like Virtua Cop II, Die Hard Arcade, and NiGHTS into Dreams.

ok, let me clarify. I like my saturn. I'm just saying that you should probably own and tap out your dreamcast and mega cd before you move on to the saturn or 32x.

I'm sure shining force III is a cool game. It looks good. I just have a problem buying games that are 50 bucks and over 10 years old. Hell, i have a problem buying games that are 50 bucks and are new. And it seems once you get past a the handfull of saturn cheap guys, the price rises fast.

Yeah, most of the Saturn games are expensive and I can't justify spending that much when I don't want to spend that much on new gen stuff. Their is plenty of cheap good Saturn games like Virtua Fighter 2, Glactic Attack,Daytona USA,etc.

I hear what your saying, to be honest I would grab any that came my way if the price was right regardless of the order they came in. Out of them all im after the Mega Cd more than anything else, some RPG's I wouldnt mind being absorbed in. There are so MANY big hitters (Castlevania, Final Fantasy ,etc) im missing on the consoles I own that it doesnt phase me if I only had these consoles for the next year or two. But thanks for the advice.

Anayo I have no doubt I will eventually get one, Shinning Force being one of the big titles on my list.

Good stuff, especially the N64 games. You can never play too much of those classic Rare games.

But, since everybody is harping on your systems wanted, I will too. I'd say the dreamcast. It just has so many classics and quirky sega gems, and all for pretty cheap. It's just a joy to collect for it. I have a saturn and games are just too expensive on ebay and too hard to come across in the wild.
