I finally have a front page that ties together all the pieces of the site and looks clean and professional:
http://www.racketboy.com/
What do you think?
I will still be tweaking it a bit to get it just the way I want, but its basically there.
Thanks to cavemonkey50 (Ronald Heft) for the programming end.

The upper-right space is only empty on higher resolutions. I'm trying to think about what to do about it. However, I don't want to throw something in there just to fill the space.Mozgus wrote:Hmm, the upper-right white space needs something. And overall, I think many things need more tweaks regarding positioning. For example, center the "Links" left-hand panel on the main pages.
But yes, the positioning, text sizes, and accent colors are my main tweak spots.
I'm not sure what you mean about the "left-hand panel" comment.

Left side, Links, it's not center with the components above it. Looks bad.
Also, these are the kinds of problems you run into when you code an auto-sizing website. That's one of the reasons why I chose to code mine as a static size, perfectly suited for 800x600 or better. Higher resolutions just place wider margins on the sides. The core pages look the same no matter what resolution you run.
