What Upcoming Game Are You Most Excited About?

Post by racketboy »

I guess I'm excited about the NiGHTS sequel (if it's real), but I'm nervous at the same time.
I'm also excited to see how Castle Crashers on XBLA turns out.

How bout you?

Persona 3 on the PS2. I've had that 20 minute teaser trailer for over a year. I would have said DJ Max Portable 2 but that came out yesterday. :)

I've got....nothing left to be excited about. I'm honestly not looking forward to a single game on any platform. I've totally disconnected myself from all current gen.

I'm pretty much there -- the ones I mentioned are the only ones I could scrape up.
Theres also a couple puzzle games on the DS, but that's nothing I can't wait for.

I have yet to see any previews on it, or any reviews, but Shadowrun on XBOX360 has me pumped merely because I loved the Genesis version years back and the pen and paper version always intrigued me. I'm hoping for a good game. Seeing as it is a FPS with RPG elements and Shadowrun style story telling (so says the box) it seems like it will be similar enough to the Genesis version that it will get me going.

Nights also has me happy as a pig in shit.

Lately though, the gaming industry rarely wows me all that much. Instead I've been sticking to puzzle games and party games (marble blast, Warioware, Monkey ball, Lumines) that don't really get me pumped when I see one coming in a magazine or on the web. But instead just pull my attention when I pick them up at the store for cheap.

I think this means we're getting old...

Well, in that case, raise a tall, cold one to getting old. After 2000 or so games haven't so much gotten better as simply prettier. Nothing says I can't enjoy what's already been made that I have to wait with 'bated breath for something crazy new that's not really new at all.

One of the few new games that I'm looking forward to the most is probably BioShock. Beyond that I have some nervous excitement for Fallout 3 and a passing interest in whether/when Divine Divinity 2 comes into fruition.
