On topic, as the guy who claimed that Sony, not Microsoft (or, um... Xbox) has ruined gaming, I just got another PS2 yesterday. That makes three! The PS2 has probably the best line-up of games out of any system, especially if you include the PS1 line-up. Yet... really, in my opinion we'd all be better off if Sega and Nintendo kicked the shit out of Sony back in 1995/96. We'd still have all those good games, expect they'd have been on the Saturn, N64, Dreamcast and Gamecube. We'd still be playing new games on Sega hardware today, instead of on Hardware made by companies who's primary focus isn't PC operating systems and stereo systems.

Yeah, I just won't let it bother me. What happened in the past can't be changed, but we can look back and learn from it. I for one found all three (Well four if you count Dreamcast, but I find it to be in a generation of it's own.) of the last generation of consoles to be fantastic machines. The PS2 expanded upon the PS1's freedom to create unique and individualistic games unhindered by previous censorship's and restrictions, the Gamecube gave us games that were just fun and didn't pander to the majority or sway itself with fads to gain needless popularity, and the original XBOX brought the power of a PC into out living rooms as well as giving us gamers in the states a shot at some localized imports and unreleased Dreamcast games that we would have otherwise never seen.

Ney way, i think i would rather pay for online with the 360 because LIVE is great. If it wasn't that good do you think so many people would pay for it? Well any way i don't like playing online because you just end up playing with 1000's of ten year olds saying"I p0wn u n00b!". It just makes me sick. I mean in reality both systems are great IMO and it isn't worth getting so worked up over. At least they are marketing REAL video games to us instead of the "family friendly" garble that nintendo is feeding us.

People pay money for crap they don't need all the time. That's the whole purpose of advertising. Xbox Live doesn't need to be better than PSN, Steam and the rest of those gaming services - it just needs to convince people that it is better.

After playing quite a few games online with LIVE at a friends place, I can honestly say it ain't worth $50 a year. The community is awful in many cases (playing Gears of War online is like going back to middle school), games still lag like hell (Playing Garou: Mark of the Wolves on Xbox Live was an exercise in frustration), and Microsoft doesn't even provide servers to play on. I still don't understand what the hell you're paying $50 for, other than to feed the beast.

Oh yeah, and please stop posting the god-damn picture. If it outrages you so bad, just fucking ignore it. All your doing is giving it more exposure.

Yeah live is filled with a bunch of high pitch voiced little kids who think their so cool because they can AR rush somebody but the second you 4 shot their ass your a hacker. But then when it comes to sony severs get dropped after a few years just look at MGS3 online.
