Hi. I posted a help thread in the wrong section i think so i'll ask here. im absolutely new this dc hacking and need to be pointed in the right direction. i read the 101 but i need the next step in playin bachup games. ihave a copy of utopia but idon't know what it does. hlp please. tx

Are you playing import backups? Or just regular backups? Most backups are self-bootable for Dreamcast games. Just burn it at 8x or less, put it in, and play. If you are playing imports you'll need the Utopia boot disc.

Put the boot disc in, turn on the system, you'll see the deer telling you put in the backup/import copy. Put the backup copy in, close the lid, and it should boot.

And also, you don't need Utopia for import backups, just for originals. Try to download the ones that say selfboot or SB or check their .nfo to see if they are selfbooting, if they are not, you will need Utopia
