Yet another "which game is this"

I'm trying to find a game I saw a screenshot or video of couple of years ago. It's a Japanese platformer run'n'gun that plays sorta like Contra. I think it was released on PS2 or Xbox. The main character is a cartoony black cat, with a huge head and a rotary chaingun kinda like the cat in Fur Fighters. I think it came out around the same time Viewtiful Joe did.
Any ideas?

Heh, it's a lot older than I thought (2000). I managed to find a cover image...

I still have no idea what it is tho. I wonder if the series continued on other systems or if my mind is just fuzzy... Can someone translate?

I found it - Cyborg Kuro Chan for PS1
It's by Konami, so it might be pretty good.
