Best PS2 memory card?

Post by J T »

I have a Max 64MB memory card for my PS2, which would be great, except that it craps out after 32 MB and won't let me add any more save files. Is there a decent company that makes high capacity memory cards for PS2? I would like to have 64MB or more if possible, but many of the amazon reviews state that the big memory cards are faulty like mine or worse.

I should mention that I have an old fat PS2 if that changes the compatibility with some of these 3rd party memory cards.

I have a 32 MB memory card. It doesn't have any compatibility problems, but it's just really, REALLY slow.

Agreed the best and only peripherals you should buy are the real deal, or a licensed 2nd party item.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

This.

I've had issues with every third party memory card I've owned, from PS1, N64, to even Xbox. I've noticed that the 'high capacity' cards are even more susceptible to corruption.

For PS2 the first party Sony cards are, by far, your best option.

I would only go with a Sony brand memory card. 3rd party cards are unreliable in my experience.

Memor32 lets you back up your saves through USB. Pretty pricey if that's all you're using it for tho.
