That won't stop the media from jizzing itself like it did last time. Believe me, the stock will spike.

You are correct sir. I guess they weren't total crap, but the warranty was ridiculous. My aunt was the first person I knew who got one, and I was pretty excited.(being a huge VW fan)

The first time it rained water was running right through the front and back windshield seals and they wouldn't do anything about it. A repair on a 2 week old car. Apparently thousands had the same problem and Volkswagen never did anything about it. Kinda how Sony did when the early PS2s started losing DVD drives.

Keep in mind that it has to be a publically traded company, and I'm not sure that Valve is. The best way to purchase stock is through an online broker like Schwab. It makes for a nice easy user interface, but if you go through that you shouldn't try to daytrade. It really is a long-term investment.

Somebody asked how the physical process of buying a stock works. First, you need a brokerage account. Currently, I'm using Zecco (www.zecco.com). You'll link the account to your checking, then you need to transfer some money over to them. Once the cash is posted in your account, you tell them how many shares you want and buy. Pretty simple stuff, and selling pretty much works the same way in reverse. They charge a $4.50 commission on the purchase or sell of shares, regardless of the number bought.

There's a lot of brokers out there, another I tried in the past and liked a lot was www.sharebuilder.com, and if you look around there are usually promotional codes that will get you bonus money on your first trade. $4 to buy, and any dividends you get are reinvested for free which is nice, but it's $10 to sell, so that's why I switched out.

Doesn't change the fact that Nintendo looked like a bunch of fools at E3.

Do they allocate your funds for you, or are you on a variable plan that you can dictate? If things haven't changed in a few years, your portfolio should include an IRA. If it's not a ROTH IRA, change it to one asap.

Speaking of variable plans, STAY AWAY FROM VARIABLE ANNUITIES! LTC makes a better investment, and guaranteed.

So it's been about 3 months now since I made this recommendation. If you bought around that time and just held it, you probably have about a 1% gain plus dividends coming in the future. There certainly have been larger gainers in the S&P in that time, but I am maintaining my opinion that the stock should be bought here. Even after more "bad" news was published recently the stock has shown a strong resistance to further drops in price.

I continue to recommend it's purchase. Especially if there are any more pullbacks. I haven't "bet the farm" in my personal portfolio, so to speak, but it is one of my largest positions. Sales of Nintendo's most popular items have started to see a slowdown, so I think exciting new products will be announced in the not-distant future.
