This is quite possibly, my favorite videogame related track.
Air Man ga Taosenai
Video Game music you listen regularly.

Unreal Tournament (the 1999 original) is one of my absolute favorite soundtracks. Here's a playlist - check Enigma, Foregone Destruction, Skyward Fire... and really, just all of them. They're all damn good.

Deus Ex is also a favorite of mine. Here's the link to the track most site as the best, but this user has plenty of other tracks.
If I were to ever make a game myself, the first two guys I'd sign up for the music would be Alexander Brandon and Michael Van Den Bos. Truly epic stuff.

Yuzo Koshiro is my number one. I listen to a slew of OCRemix artist. Koji Kondo is awesome as well, I love the Link to the Past, and Ocarina of Time soundtracks. But I've been listening to the Secret Of Mana soundtrack alot lately. Very beautiful. I also agree with the Shadow of the Colossus soundtrack, love it!
But two soundtracks that I've always loved and listen to daily is Turtles In Time and Streets of Rage 2. Nothing beats Turtles In Time.
Another song that I can't help but listen to daily is Sonic 3's Ice cap OC remix. Too good. The Mother series also have very beautiful music. I can listen to Earthbound's soundtrack 24/7.

Plenty of chiptunes (Koshiro, Uematsu, Mitsuda and more), new and old and a ton of remixes. Preferably Genesis or SNES, but newer ones on PS1, Saturn, N64 and Dreamcast as well as other consoles too.
I also enjoy the nice sweeping orchestral style such as from Ico or Shadow of the Colossus as well as rock and other types of music in games as long as they are done well.

I listen to the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra performing a great mix of video game music. Its a 5 disc set and has everything from Metroid, SMB, Final Fantasy, to Dragon Quest and japanese only SFC games, its brilliant. I found it on http://www.underground.com and its really worth a download.

The entire Doom game series soundtrack (From every game, I love the intro from Doom 3)
Silpheed (Sega CD)
Quake 3 (Dreamcast)

Older. Not wiser.

Lords of Thunder (the Sega CD version) will melt your face!

UT was perfect. I assume you listened to the two disc UT3 set? There's about half a dozen UT99 remixes in there. All the original tracks are great too.the7k wrote:Unreal Tournament (the 1999 original) is one of my absolute favorite soundtracks. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Guilty Gear.
Yes.
