Some Video Game music is just simply awesome. I don't mean mainstream music in video games (music in racing games or GTA, etc..) but the music specifically made for games. I have a ton of it on my iPod and listen to it very often. I also have a ton on my PC that I play a few times a week. Such as:
Shadow of the Colossus Soundtrack
Symphony of the Night Soundtrack
I was wondering what others listen to in the VG music department. I'm pretty sure it's fairly mixed.
Video Game music you listen regularly.

I listen to Mega Man guitar renditions and Still Alive.
Re: Video Game music you listen regularly.
Still Alive is a great track. I found it funny when it appeared on Rock Band.
I am thinking about getting a bunch of the great "NES Metal" tunes into my iPod. Stuff like Contra, Batman, Double Dragon, etc..

The Super Mario RPG, Clockwork Knight, Zelda Windwaker, Chrono Cross, and Phantasy Star Universe: Save This World soundtracks are on my ipod at all times. Others that cycle are:
Gone Jackals - Bone to Pick - aka the Full Throttle soundtrack
Final Fantasy Potions 1&2
Civilizations II soundtrack
Earthbound fan soundtrack set
Phantasy Star Online soundtracks
Red Alert 1&2 soundtracks
The first 4000 songs from Overclock remix
There are more but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

Nope the tony hawks pro skater soundtrack is the only one I'm interested in.

Obviously those two are in my top 10. I also can never preach enough about Jesper Kyd's entire career. One of these days he just needs to get latched onto a game that's as amazing as the music he provides for it. Then maybe he'll get the fame he deserves.deathred wrote: Shadow of the Colossus Soundtrack

I've hit up the recent Bionic Commando Re-Armed OST about 16 times since it came out.
The Panzer Dragoons always help me when I need something tribal.
Everyone can appreciate what all the entries of Silent Hill provide.
HeadHunter is pretty much a perfect cinematic album.

What because I like punk and ska instead of instrumental scores?Mozgus wrote:Obviously those two are in my top 10. I also can never preach enough about Jesper Kyd's entire career. Re: Video Game music you listen regularly.
I quite often listen to the Final Fantasty VIII soundtrack when im reading on the train, I find it blocks out the background noise, while being peaceful enough that I can concentrate on what im reading.
The early Tony Hawk games had decent sound tracks, but as I own 90% of the music in them I would hardly credit the game for me listening to The Ramones or Rage Against The Machine, etc.

The first game has the best music I almost memorized the order.emwearz wrote:I quite often listen to the Final Fantasty VIII soundtrack when im reading on the train, I find it blocks out the background noise, while being peaceful enough that I can concentrate on what im reading.
